Weaning???

So I think Sterling is weaning herself. She is 13 days away from being 1. I think she only nursed 3 times today. So what to do?? Do I follow her lead or push her to continue?? What to do? The other 2 I felt I had to wean because I was pregnant and I couldn't handle both pregnancy and nursing. I did nurse them until they were one. I then went cold turkey on them. It was so sad. But I had to do it. I felt like if I continued I put the unborn baby at risk because they don't know why the placenta separated with Chanse's pregnancy. The Dr. said my uterus probably contracted and then it separated. SO my uterus contracting was pretty scary for me. Anyways. Now I am not pregnant. Hallelujah!!! I thought I would nurse as long as Sterling wanted. So is this it? Any thoughts??

While on the subject of Sterling. Today I was nursing her and she likes to wiggle and stand up and do weird things, she was messing around on the first side so I switched her to the other. She nursed for awhile and popped off, sat up and said "DONE." I said OK your done and then closed up shop. She also was climbing up the slide and said "up." She is beginning to say things so so cute. She says "mama" and "mommy" There may be a few other words. She has two teeth now (bottom two middle teeth) and the top two are just about ready to come through. She still isn't walking. She is really close but she just hasn't done it yet. I hope I have the cameras ready for when she does. Ben just told me he was holding her and she said"up."

Update on Hero. I guess she is healing. I think she will have a scar on her beautiful face. I am so sad. I feel so bad and like I failed as a mother to protect her. But I guess I am not a superhero. There really was nothing I could have done. The liquid stitches were a joke. She keeps touching her mouth and she makes all sorts of faces that pull her mouth in all directions. I am still hoping it will not leave a scar.

Chanse is still loving all things Christmas and Santa.

June 22 Happy Birthday Chanse

Chanse rock'n with his Jake's guitar!
So today was Chanse's real birthday. We were planing on celebrating as a family after Hero's nap. But things changed. Hero ran and fell face first into the kid table corner. We spent the afternoon at the ER. So fun!!! We pretty much walked right in which was great. But we had to sit for 30 minutes holding a numbing agent on Hero's lip. Which by the way cut all the way through. Then she fell asleep. The Dr. came back and they gave her a shot to numb it more. The Dr. said she would have to do stitches because it went all the way through and could not do the liquid stitches. SO they gave Hero a numbing shot and when the shot was in, Hero woke up. Then she was wrapped up like a mummy and they cleaned her wound and then gave her 3 stitches. One inside and 2 outside. The Dr. gave her a Popsicle, we checked out and paid. Then we were getting ready to leave and Hero yelled out "OH no!!" I look at her and her stitches popped open. So I go back up to the window and they let us back in and then they put on the liquid stitches. I am not sure why now it was OK. The Dr. had also put in dissoluble stitches and said it was just as good as regular but then when it popped out she said "I guess I should have done the other kind." So poor Hero had to go through all the numbing and shot and stitches just to end up with them coming out and having one stitch in her mouth and then getting the liquid. Why didn't they just do the liquid to begin with. I am so paranoid of the wound reopening. I keep thinking it is peeling off. I am a mess. I also have to give her antibiotics 2x a day. I am having a hard time getting it in her and keeping her hands away from the wound. Poor kid.

Well we got home and Chanse fell asleep so we then waited for him to wake up and then we had dinner and cake and presents. Chanse and Hero got ukuleles which they call Jake's guitars. They were so excited. The end of the day was a little more fun. Happy birthday Chanse.

Birthday Parties

Well it has been awhile since I posted. We have been out of town. We went to California to celebrate my Grandma's 80th birthday and then we stayed for the week and celebrated Chanse's 4th birthday with the family. For Grandma's birthday we had a dinner and a fun filled 3 1/2 hour talent show because G-ma loves to be entertained by her family. I have been teaching a dance class to Chanse, Hero and there cousins Lucy and Sofia. Our dance class performed for G-ma's birthday. All of the great grandchildren danced to happy birthday princess and G-ma was crowned the birthday queen. It was really sweet. Chanse, Hero, and Sterling also did the Dinosaur Stomp. SO cute and My sister and I did pep flags to Celebration and we threw balls to the kids with there names on it. The kids loved it. The sad part about the evening was my camera died so I didn't get many pictures. I am really bummed so hopefully someone got some pics. of my kids on stage. Grandma got up and shared memories of each grandchild and gave them something. I got a Strawberry Shortcake ribbon and a basket of strawberries that Grandma forgot to bring but I think I ate them that morning for breakfast. Woopsies!!! They were yummy!!!

Well we had lots of fun the rest of the week hanging out with family going to the park playing in the sand in the back yard and getting ice cream. We walked to rite aid and got ice cream. Yummy thrifty's chocolate malted crunch. Hero liked it too.

To end our fun filled week we went to Disneyland with Mom, Heidi, Eliza, Cami, Scott, Chris, Amber, and Emerald. Kenny met up wit us later. We finally went on Nemo I am not sure if I love it or not. You see Hero had a hard time on the rides. ON Nemo there was a part where bubbles filled the window of the sub and Hero freaked out. SO the kids were unsure of things at times and Hero was pretty much scared of everything. But she does say she wants to go back. She is silly. She hates the carousel. She liked the electrical parade and Winnie the Pooh, and Monster's Inc. ride. She also like Playhouse Disney (I miss Bear in the Big Blue House) and the Jedi Training show, Eliza, Cami, and Scott got picked. Sterling was cheering so cute she also said "Wow" during the electrical parade.

Chanse pretty much had a blast. He went on Soar'n over California and loved flying in the air. HE also get this loved Splash Mountain. The big disappointment was we got on the train and it broke down and he didn't get to see the dinosaurs. Poor kid so we did the little Casey Jr. Train. He loved Buzz Lightyear and after the second time we went on he said "I want a Zurg costume." Silly boy. But the best part of the day was we celebrated Chanse's birthday with Micky and Minnie. We got to decorate cakes and Mickey and Minnie sang happy birthday and it was a blast. I hope you enjoy these pics. Oh one last thing on this trip Sterling started to say ball.

Then on Tuesday June 17th we celebrated Chanse's birthday with a Pirate party. It was a really windy day. We made pirate hats and went on a treasure hunt. The kids had to walk the plank and swim with alligators and go through a jungle and climb big rocks and go through a cave. And they found the X and there was the treasure. I also made a pirate ship cake. It turned out so cute.
