The Best Day Ever!!!!

Today Sterling got to go to nursery for the first time!!!! This is the first time in 4 1/2 years I was without a baby for the last two hours of church. It was so great. The only problem was I didn't get to go to class because I was stuck in the library. OH well. At least Sterling wasn't smashing her fingers in the drawers and I wasn't having to chase her down. It was fabulous. The other great thing was Sterling ran right into nursery. She was more then happy to go. Ben dropped Hero and Sterling off. Hero was a little hesitant and Sterling wiggled out of Ben's arms and ran for the toys. Then the teacher brought Sterling back to me to get a diaper change. Erika put Sterling down and Erika started to walk away and Sterling ran after Erika. Sterling didn't want to come to us. Sterling had a great time in Nursery. Hero loved having Sterling in nursery with her. How fun!!!!


We had a fun low key New Years. We went to a story time at the library done by our favorite story time person Ms. Susan. She is so fun. The kids made noise makers and drew scary faces on them to scare the bad luck away in the new year. We counted down to "New Years" it was close to noon when we counted down. We watched the second hand go from the 11 to the 12. Then everyone shook their shakers and yelled "Happy New Years!!" Then we read some new years stories. One was about a girl and her hats. She made a hat for every month and then for new years made a hat with everything on it. SO we made hats too. The girls loved their New Years hats. Chanse loved his too but he wouldn't get in a picture. We got doughnuts and pizza. Pizza for dinner and doughnuts for breakfast. We went to Krispy Cream and the kids loved watching the doughnuts being made. SO fun!! (Our round foods for good luck!) In the morning we watched the Rose Parade and the kids want to go to the Parade. In a few years maybe!!! I am not sure I am ready to camp out at the parade yet. I have done it so many times we will see.

SO Chanse wants a dog really badly. We told him he needs to learn how to take care of himself meaning dress himself, be dry all night, go to the bathroom by himself and the list goes on. He also needs to earn the money to pay for the dog, to buy it and to feed it and take it to the doctors. So he was trying to earn money so he cleaned his room. He took a lot of his toys and put them in the hall and in Hero and Sterling's room. He also had to wear his Bob the Builder hat while at work. Such a dangerous job. The last time he cleaned his room he put everything on his bed. It was so funny. I had never seen his floor so clean!!! Anyways we went to a pet store to look at some puppies and to see how much they were and to learn a little about them since I have no clue when it comes to dogs. Well we found a cute little puppy that Chanse and Hero just loved. They both held it and loved it. Sterling tried to kick it. It was so small. It will grow to be like 5 pounds. It was a Shiranian. I don't like dogs but I do have to say it was really cute. This puppy was $799. I couldn't believe how much they were. It will be a really long time until Chanse gets a puppy. I don't even know what a good dog would be for our family or if I could even deal with a dog. I don't want another kid!! Anyways here are some pictures of Chanse cleaning his room!!!
