Jedi Mind Trick

SO this past week Chanse tried to do a Jedi mind trick on Ben. He wanted a new glove and Ben said I don't have any more. Then he made this serious face with his eyes looking up and chin down and waved his hand and said "give me gloves." Ben and I just busted up laughing. It was really funny. Then Ben said"Are you trying to do a Jedi mind trick on me?" Chanse said "Yeah!" And Chanse started to laugh! It was really funny!

Star Wars

So Chanse is a huge fan of Star Wars now!!! He just loves it. HE wants to be Darth Vader. He wants a costume so bad. SO he found a piece of fabric and made a cape and he got some plastic gloves from Daddy and he ate a Popsicle so he could have a Popsicle stick to make a lightsaber with by putting a straw on it and TADA he was Darth Vader. Hero wanted to join in so she got a toy gun and she is a storm trooper. He really wants a lightsaber that lights up. We told him if he sleeps in his bed for a month we will get him one. Last night it didn't work. He always sleeps on the floor in is room. We want him in his bed. Any ides to get him to stay put in his bed??

Birthday Party 2!!!

We had birthday party 2 for Sterling. We had Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Jake and Uncle Kenny. We had lots of fun. Chanse and Hero helped me decorate the cake. It turned out cute. Sterling still didn't dive into the cake. I tried to nicely push her face close to the cake but she didn't like it. Oh well. She picked the M&M's off first and then worked on the rest. Silly girl. Today Sterling had her 1 year dr.'s appointment. She is 30 3/4 inches tall and 22 lbs. 3 oz. All of our kids are going to be freakishly tall. OH well. I guess I always wished to be a little taller or a little shorter. SO hopefully they will be happy with their hight. I hope you like the pictures.

Our blessed surprise is 1!!!!

So Sterling is 1 today. I really didn't think I would live to see this day. I am so tired and worn out. I am so happy that today Sterling is 1. With the other 2 kids it seemed to get easier at around 1. So I hope everything gets a little easier to handle. Sterling is our first child to resemble me more then Ben. I finally got one with my blue eyes. I am so happy about that. Sterling is trying to talk and she is walking and has three teeth with all the rest on the way. I can see all those teeth working there way down. In the first few months I called her Screaming Banshee because she cried all the time. She had acid reflux. But now she is pretty mellow and likes to do her own thing but still needs me every once in awhile. She is a cutie. Yesterday we went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate and we were the only ones there for most of the time. Great fun!! Today we had cake and Sterling picked the chocolate shavings off of it. So dainty! She did get messy but she never smashed her face into the cake. She also loved the big Cinderella we had up for decoration!! Well I wanted to share her first year in pictures. I hope you like it. Videos

I finally got the video of Sterling walking. I got it 2 days ago. So cute. I also got Hero and Chanse singing. Kids can be so cute sometimes. Lately Hero and Chanse have been way into Little Einsteins. SO they said our car is Rocket. Whenever we go out to the car they say "Hi Rocket!" And Rocket says HI!! By flashing his lights. They love it. Then they pat on there legs and yell blast off . Then we take off. They lean to the left and right depending on which way we are turning. They love it. This makes driving a little more enjoyable for everyone. Sterling was even patting her legs today. She loves it all too.

First Steps

Sterling took her first steps today, July 6, 2008. She was so excited. I got a picture of it and video and my video camera. I tried to get it on my digital camera so I could put it on here but she was just too excited. So this is what I got. I will keep trying. Chanse and Hero were way excited too. Yea Sterling!!!!!!

Star Wars

So Chanse and Hero now love Star Wars. Chanse will only watch episode 4. I tried the last movie but he said "I don't want this one. I want the one with the princess." I said "the princess is right there." He said "No the white princess." I figured out he wanted the 4th movie and put it in and he wants to watch it over and over again. He has his toy gun and he fights the storm troopers too. He even makes the sound of the blasters. So funny. He does have things a little mixed up he has been calling the Storm Troopers Jedi's. Well we are trying to fix that. But today they made lightsabers out of straws and their Popsicle sticks so fun.

4th of July

On the 4th of July we went to a parade. The kids loved it. They loved seeing the storm troopers and curious George, and the big balloons. They had an octopus and a bald eagle balloon. Chanse saw the Bald eagle coming and he yelled out "look a balled eagle." The day was very hot. We cooked out in the Las Vegas sun. But none of us got sunburned. We had a range of SPF 30 to 85 on. I always burn. I guess th 85 worked. I think it was 111 out that day. We had a blast. We then went home and rested. We went outside and had a BBQ. And we did our "fireworks," poppers and snappers. Hero and Chanse just loved it. They threw the snappers down on the ground and jumped on them. They loved it. Then we actually saw fireworks this year. We went to the Red Rock casino. We parked our car across the street and watched the show. The kids loved it. The radio stations had the music the show was choreographed to. When the fireworks were over the kids wanted to watch it again. You have to wait. Fun day! Oh and Ben got interviewed at the parade for the news but we missed the news. Happy 4th of July!!
